Lovely bunkhouse! Communal area would be quite compact if bunkhouse is at full capacity. But comfy beds, good shower and fully functioning kitchen. Would stay again 👍

This place is lovely! Was not expecting much as it is called a bunk house but it is much better than that. 2 rooms each with 2 sets of bunk beds and a twin room, a shower room with sink and loo and another loo with sink, and a kitchen diner. Bit hard to find possibly; in my case Google maps was right but it is up a narrow lane, which becomes a track, and then turn in over a cattle grid. Had I not had a call from the owner I might have had doubts especially arriving in the dark.
Once there it was really comfortable. Under floor heating, thick duvets and 2 pillows! Oven and microwave, WiFi, a dryer, picnic table outside if season/ weather suitable. Fabulous views across the valley and plenty of birdlife on the feeders to watch from the window. It is international hostel as well as YHA, so both signs take you to same place. I had a really comfortable peaceful stay.

A great location for a hostel with many walking options right from the door. It is a bit small and the common area is a bit undersized (there were 7 people out of a capacity of 10 when I stayed and the common area/kitchen was a bit crowded in the evening). Despite the size, the bunkhouse has everything I needed for a quick overnight stay.

A great place to stay, comfortable with plenty of amenities. Close enough to start walking from and close to the pub. The owners are great too.

A fantastic hostel that is well equipped and the hosts were helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much for everything. The location is beautiful, the communal area is well equipped and fab even for our larger group and to top it all off every guest commented on the comfort of the bedd, pillows and bedding!

We stayed for three nights and wanted more. The hostel was well equipped and looked after. A nice touch was the owner popping over a bit after we'd arrived to check everything was OK and to ask if we needed any advice on the local area (walks, pubs etc.).
The location up a small valley means the views from the hostel are excellent and you could easily leave the car at the hostel and walk or bike for the day from there.

A great little hostel set into the Long Mynd with amazing views and a tranquil atmosphere (company depending of course). I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone staying in the area. If your plans are for a weekend in summer book well in advance though!

Modern and comfortable, but noisy with tiled floors, a vaulted central kitchen and no sound insulation. Sleep therefore depends on the consideration / similarity of habits of other guests. The lack of any locks or bolts on the bedroom doors was a bit unnerving, and the fact that you're not allowed in the place between 10.30am and 5pm most inconvenient; especially in the bad weather and dark winter months.

Arrived, collect key, occupied one half. An hour later strangers turned up, occupied the other half, an hour later we were friends spent the night in the kitchen eating laughing & drinking. The Bunkhouse was perfect for this. In the morning walked up the hill - terrific sights.. /thanks
